Épisode 2/5 : 1955, le hard bop. Le jazz noir relève la tête

Cette année-là, la mort de Charlie Parker referme la page du bebop. Par le « hard bop », des jazzmen cherchent à retrouver les racines du jazz (blues, negro spirituals…) afin de rompre avec l’ère du « cool ». A l’origine de ce retour contestataire aux sources, les « Jazz Messengers » rassemblés autour du batteur Art Blakey.
