Irving Penn est un grand perfectionniste qui a révolutionné la photo de mode pour s'imposer dans la photographie tout court.

C'est à Paris, dans l'enceinte prestigieuse du Grand Palais que s'est ouvert une rétrospective consacrée à l'un des photographes les plus talentueux du XXème siècle. Soixante-dix années de carrière y sont retracées à travers plus de deux cent trente-cinq photographies, des magazines, des dessins et peintures et du matériel photographique. Photographe de mode, incroyable portraitiste, grand maître de la photographie de nature morte et de nu, Irving Penn était aussi un magicien du studio.
