"Bad bad whiskey" fut composé en 1950 par Amos Milburn, partiellement adapté d’un instrumental de Maxwell Davis (“ Bristol drive “), avec ce single ce fut la dernière fois que Milburn parvint en haut du classement du « Billboard R&B chart » américain.
