En rendant publiques les dix dernières compositions jusqu’ici inédites du 2ème tome du Masada Book, le volume 32 de la série Book of Angels de John Zorn, “Paimon” de Mary Halvorson boucle un projet pharaonique qui s’est étendu sur plus de treize années. L’album parait chez Tzadik (dist. Orkhestra)

Fan de la saga Masada depuis le début, la guitariste Mary Halvorson pilote un quartet sous tension, mettant toute son énergie et toute sa verve créative au service des compositions brillantes de John Zorn. La variété, la dramaturgie et le lyrisme sont aussi puissants que le tout premier volume de la série entamée en 2005. Un final en apothéose !
